Psalm 19 : 14 (New American Standard Bible)
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Understanding the Rock as Christ and Christ as Eternal causes us to see the Salvation and Redemption of the Jew who was Israel, or who was the Remnant, as having happened prior to the coming of Jesus into the world at the Fullness of the Time.
David was a Key example.
This causes me to ask God to explain the significance of the ‘Fullness of the Time.’
The term comes from Galatians 4. Here are the first seven verses:
Galatians 4: 1-4
Sonship in Christ
Now I say, as long as the heir is a child, he does not differ at all from a slave although he is owner of everything, 2 but he is under guardians and managers until the date set by the father. 3 So also we, while we were children, were held in bondage under the elemental things of the world. 4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, 5 so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. 6 Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7 Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.
This is what I hear —
When the Realization of the Eternal Realm — of the ‘Completion of All things Good and Finished’ came to earth, the Heavenly Realm was made known. It was ‘on earth as it is in Heaven.’
Through Jesus who came as the Last Adam and became the Life-Giving Spirit, we saw what it is to be a Kingdom Child of the Holy God and to bring the Kingdom Realm of Heaven to Light on earth. Jesus was made Known ‘Perfection of Faith.’ As the Manifestation of the Life of God, the Light of God, the Living Word of God and so much more, Jesus demonstrated humanity’s Potential when we Lived Restored to God. He was the Consolation of Israel or the Confirmation of the Promises that God had given the Fathers of Faith.
Through Jesus, God made it clear what humanity Alive and Abiding in Him would look like. We fulfill the Law Living as God’s Righteousness — but this is definitely Righteousness Learned from Him. The story of Job makes that point clear. It is to move beyond ‘written or repeated instruction’ to Hearing the LORD for yourself. From Moses we hear this instruction from the LORD:
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.” Deuteronomy 30 : 19-20
Jesus described His Relationship with the Father God as a Listening, Doing Relationship. He heard the Father and said what He said, He saw what the Father was doing and joined Him in it. In doing this, He became a Person who Lived in ‘Abiding Rest’ with the Father God.
As the Author and Perfecter of Faith, Jesus made God known. He Manifested His Name, He was the made Perfect Man. He was our Example of a ‘House’ of the Lovingkindness God, or better as ‘the Temple of God.’ He was who we are to be!
Humanity, individually and collectively, is to Understand ourselves as the Temple of the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 6 : 19. Together we are ‘Pillars’ of the larger Temple which is God’s Holy World. When the People of God are Living Examples of people taught by Him we Become God’s Righteousness. We are made Holy as His Ambassadors. As Children of Righteousness or Sons of Light, we Live as God Directs. In and through this, the Kingdom of Heaven is seen and the Realm of ‘the New Heaven and New Earth,’ Becomes the Reality on earth that it is meant to be!
My Prayer —
Oh God, let David’s prayer be mine. Let the Words I speak be Your Words, let the Thoughts in my heart be pleasing to You. Let me have the Awe and Wonder of a Servant, that through my everyday life I always Point to You! You are Glory, and the Power of Salvation. You are Righteous and Holy drawing us into Higher Realms of Living. LORD, make me willing to Follow where you lead! Let me be Your Witness and Testimony. Hallelujah the Living God Reigns! Recognizing Jesus as your Gift to all, I Rest in Him. Amen.
